Hello!

My name is Mary. I’m a Castlegar based photographer, a community support worker and a mom of two very energetic boys. I love being outdoors in all seasons, hiking, biking, snowshoeing, snowboarding or just relaxing at the park with my family.

I started photography as most do, in their teenage years taking horribly angled photos in bad lighting with friends. I'm happy to tell you that those beginner photography skills are long gone but those photos and memories are stored safely in an album for my nostalgic eyes to reminisce over from time to time.

During my years as a community support worker, I’ve realized that photos are what people seem to hold most dear; they are often hung on walls, placed on desks/tables and kept in albums. If you ask about those photos, you are almost always greeted with a story. Photos give a glimpse into the past, allow us to share the present and show our growth as a person.
